About

We are a small private Australian law firm located in Byron Bay and the Gold Coast. We can represent and advise you across all areas of our practice and in any Court appearances before most Courts and Tribunals in Australia. We can travel to most Capital cities in Australia. We are truly a private and independent law firm, legal adviser and advocate for the client.

We are also a registered migration agent and can prepare and lodge visa applications for you and represent you in any reviews or appeals or representations to the Minister.

Background

The principal solicitor is Jonathan de Vere Tyndall. He is admitted to practise as a solicitor and barrister of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia. Jonathan is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales and the New South Wales Bar Association.

The University of New South Wales awarded him a Master of Laws degree, in Corporate, Commercial and Taxation law in 1994. Prior to this he completed his education at Sydney Church of England Grammar School (Shore) and Newington College.

Jonathan is experienced and has been a practising lawyer for more than 22 years. He was in practice as a barrister for 16 of those years, prior to becoming a solicitor. He started as a junior barrister in Edmund Barton Chambers (Level 44 MLC Centre, Sydney) in 1992 under the separate tutorships of an eminent family law master and also a commercial law master.

His successful legal articles as the 'Bush Barrister' column were published by Rural Press and several regional newspapers over many years. Jonathan previously worked in the securities industry in takeovers and acquisitions, and prior to that time as a publisher in London and a journalist in Argentina. He has lived in and travelled extensively to the United Kingdom, the Caribbean, South America and the USA. He is a registered migration agent.

Jonathan has contributed over many years to pro bono causes and to isolated or socially disadvantaged people who lack economic resources.
